岩田渉 / IWATA Wataru
Wataru IWATA is a transdisciplinary artist known for his work in Music, AudioVisual art, Digital Arts, Film, and Performance with anthropological insights. He's behind albums like "Life is Beautiful," "Think with no words (DU)," "Objet α," and "Vexations 21 (OFF)." Notable pieces include the short film "MA MÈRE L'OYE" (2020) and digital art like "no-on," "deeep," and "HOSONO HOSONO," utilizing 3D audio. His "MIROIRS" multimedia performance (2021) won international film awards, followed by the award-winning "SPHERE" (CG Animation 2022), showcasing IWATA's diverseness and/or/between nothingness.

近年では、2Dセル・オートマトンと共に作曲された音楽アルバム『Life is Beautiful』、『Objet α』、カルテット「Pulse Convention」による即興演奏『Simultaneous Spontaneity』、脳波による作曲ユニット「Intrinsic」による『Think with no words』、『0 to 9』などを発表している。またベルギーの音楽レーベル「OFF」とのコラボレーションにより、日本、ベルギー、ウクライナ、フランス、イギリス、スイスなどのアーティスト21人によるエリック・サティの「ヴェクサシオン21」を制作・発表。
その他、シネポエトリー「MA MÈRE L'OYE」(短編映画2020)、デジタルアート「no-on」、立体音響を用いた「deeep」、「HOSONO HOSONO」の制作、ディレクションを行う。2021年に上演された「MIROIRS」(マルチメディア・パフォーマンス2021)の映像化作品はAVIFF Cannes Art Film FestivalにてAngel Orensanz Foundation NYC Prizeを受賞。また同作品からのスピンオフ作品「SPHERE」(CGアニメーション2022)ではLondon International Animation FestivalでBest Abstract Film Awardを受賞。
